The Oswego State women’s basketball team used a 17-3 run midway through the second half to distance itself from Buffalo State en route to a 77-57 victory on Friday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium in Oswego.
The Lakers shot 54.8 percent (17-of-31) in final frame, including 66.7 percent (4-of-6) from three-point range. Four Oswego State players, led by Colleen McCready’s (Jr., Pittsford, N.Y.) 16 points and 11 rebounds, reached double-digits. The Lakers moved to 7-7 overall and 4-3 in the SUNYAC, while the Bengals fell to 7-7 overall and 2-5 in the league.
Oswego State will face Fredonia on Saturday at home with a 2 p.m. tip-off, while Buffalo State will travel to Cortland to face the Red Dragons.
