OSWEGO, NY – The 62nd annual SUNOCO Race of Champions Weekend is set to take the green flag July 20-21 at Oswego Speedway. A total of seven racing divisions will take on the Steel Palace over two days of racing, including the Novelis Supermodifieds and Pathfinder Bank SBS.
The SBS division will take on the fast 5/8 mile oval on Friday, July 20 with a 50-lap main, while the Novelis Supermodifieds will be in action on Saturday, July 21 with a 62-lap special. Each event will count toward the Oswego Speedway overall point championship.
Joining the SBS on Friday night’s program will be a Mini-Stock main event, as well as a 100-lap RoC Sportsman feature event. The Supermodifieds will be joined on Saturday by the Super Stock division and of course the RoC Modified 200 that will cap off the weekend.

Otto Sitterly continues to lead the Novelis Supermodified point championship by a slim 11-point advantage over Pat Lavery. Sitterly and Lavery finished third and fourth respectively in last Saturday night’s Galloway Century 21/Turning Stone Resort · Casino 50-lap main behind Randy Ritskes and Ray Graham.
Joey Payne, Ritskes, and Brian Sobus complete the Top5 in the Supermodified championship after seven events this season.
The Pathfinder Bank SBS series title chase still sees Mike Bond leading the way over Kreig Heroth. Heroth however has managed to close within just 5-points of Bond after finishing ahead of him in the past two series events.
Heroth and Bond took finishes of fourth and fifth last Saturday night following podium finishers Cameron Rowe, David LaTulip and Andrew Schartner across the stripe.

Rob Pullen, Schartner, and Tim Barbeau complete the Top5 in the SBS series standings after a total of eight races so far in 2012.
A Race of Champions open practice for all divisions will be held tonight from 5-9pm with free grandstand admission.
Pit admission for the practice is $20.
