UPDATE from Doug Didero:
Doug is in Oswego this week preparing the new No. 3, but called just a few moments ago (1 p.m. June 25) and asked us to let fans know that the car is not where he’d like it to be in order to debut it in this weekend’s Grand Prix presented by Galloway Century 21 and Oswego D Bus.
“Prior to flying up, I wanted to bring it to everyone’s attention that we would be racing June 30. I thought we were right where we needed to be in order to be ready to go, but upon getting here, unfortunately we are not,” Didero said. “Sadly, we are going to have to postpone things for this week. I will stay in the shop here to continue working on the car, watch the races Saturday as a spectator, and then we will test the week of the July 21 75-lap Mr. Supermodified feature event before competing in that race. I’m really looking forward to getting back out there in a few weeks.”
Didero noted the selection of the 75-lap race, as he is hoping to use the extra distance show as a shakedown for the Budweiser International Classic 200 on September 2.
He apologizes to everyone for any inconvenience and thanked fans for the overwhelming support of his return.
