Brewerton, NY – This Friday night July 18 the DIRTcar Modifieds make their return to the “D-Shaped Dirt Demon” after two weeks away from the Speedway. Along with the Modifeds there is a full racing card with the, IMCA Modifieds, ESDCA Mod Lites, Four Cylinder Super Stocks and a Kings Smash’em Crash’em Mini -Van Demo Derby on Trophy Auto.Com Night.
In the Modifieds Alan Johnson will be looking to add to his point lead coming into the night. Hot on Johnson’s heels is Billy Decker and his Feature leading five Victories. Matt Sheppard, Defending Track Champ Willy Decker and Kevin Bates look to move into Victory Lane and further up the points ladder.
Dale Caswell might have eight wins on the year in the IMCA Modifieds but his point lead is anything but safe. Consistent Rob Keller trails Caswell by a single point going into Friday Nights action. Sitting in third and only seven points out of first and waiting for any mistake by the top two is Kevan Cook. Pete Anderson and J.J Courcy are fourth and fifth in the points.
In the ESDCA Mod Lites Lowell Zehr has used three wins and top finishes to hold a twenty-nine point lead to date. Doug Williams is closing fast with his six checkered flags. Right on Williams tail in the standings is Tim Devendorf who is in the hunt for a win every week. Never count out Joe Garafalo and Rocco Leone.
One driver that seems to make it look easy every week is Four Cylinder Super Stock driver Claude Hutchings Jr., in eleven starts he has eight wins. Chuck Powelczyk, Matt Fay, GlenErwin and Lorraine Powelcyk will look to stop the Hutchings powerful running Saab.
Gates open this Friday Night at 5:30 with the first green set for 7:30. Admission Prices are – Adults 15 and over – $12, Children 10 to 14 – $5 and Children 9 and under – Free.
