OSWEGO, NY – Whether you are looking to begin a fitness routine or you are a fitness buff looking for a health club that can provide you with the equipment, atmosphere and amenities you desire, you’ll be glad to know that Oswego’s newest fitness center, Stability Fitness, will be opening Sept. 7.

Locally owned and operated, Stability Fitness is the result of years of planning by owners Chris Fitzgerald, who is a certified personal trainer, and Brian Warner of Warner Physical Therapy.

Their love of fitness and their concern for their clients health and well being led them to the dream of opening their own fitness center, one that would meet their exacting standards and provide their members with a facility they can be proud of and will enable them to reach their unique fitness goals.

Fitzgerald is excited about the new venture and happy to bring a state of the art fitness center to the Oswego community.

“Stability Fitness will be the first fitness center of its kind in Oswego.  We have created an exciting, welcoming atmosphere and filled our fitness center with a wide range of the latest aerobic and anaerobic equipment so that regardless of your current fitness level you will be able to enjoy a fun and productive workout,” said Fitzgerald.

Located at 138 E. Second St., behind the Oswego Tea Company, Stability Fitness boasts more than 7000 square feet of space and offers:

A cardio room featuring stationary bikes, Star Trac Circuit machines, elliptical machines, stair step machines, treadmills and a complete media center.

A weight room featuring 7,000 pounds of free weights, squat racks, flat and incline benches, three pounds to 100 pounds dumbbells, and a complete media center.

An aerobic room for exercise classes such as Pilates, spinning, kickboxing, step and more.

Amenities such as spacious locker rooms, complimentary towels, an attentive, well-trained staff, convenient hours, and plenty of parking.

Fitzgerald added that Stability Fitness would be Oswego’s premier fitness center.

“We did our research and have designed a fitness center that people will be happy to be a part of. All of our equipment is brand-new and state of the art.  We also have a large selection of machines and equipment so that our members can minimize their waiting and maximize their workouts. We have put an emphasis on amenities as well and have created an atmosphere that our members will find refreshing and will enhance their workouts. Mirrored walls, hardwood floors and clean, spacious locker rooms are just some of the amenities our members will enjoy,” said Fitzgerald.

Group exercise classes and the availability of personal trainers will be another benefit that Stability Fitness offers its members.

“All of our exercise classes will be led by trained exercise professionals with years of experience in the field of fitness to ensure that you get the most our your workout,” added Fitzgerald. “For the convenience of our members we plan to have exercise classes scheduled both during the day and evening to accommodate their lifestyle.”

For those looking for the personal touch, Stability Fitness will have personal trainers available for a slight additional fee.

These fitness professionals will work one-on-one with their clients and design a fitness regime that is tailored to meet individual goals.

For its grand opening Stability Fitness will offer special membership rates for the first 100 members.

“We will also be holding an open house sometime this fall. We are anxious to open our facility and are looking forward to joining the Oswego business community and welcoming people to Oswego’s premier fitness center, Stability Fitness,” said Fitzgerald.
