Assemblyman Will Barclay congratulated Enwright on this great achievement.

“I am proud to present this resolution to Jamie, who has certainly accomplished many great things during her time at SUNY Oswego and has made a difference in the community,” said Barclay.

“I am so grateful that brave law enforcement officials like Officer Enwright, who are trained in and dedicated to public safety, serve us every day. When a crisis occurs, we can only hope that our professionals will react as Officer Enwright did – quickly, professionally and heroically,” said Assemblyman Bob Oaks.

In 1993, Enwright joined University Police as a part-time clerical employee and received national recognition in 1997 after saving a student’s life.

For this heroic effort, Enwright received the Acts of Professionalism Award which was presented by the SUNY Chiefs of Police Association and was featured in a story published by Woman’s World magazine.

Enwright helps the department’s compliance with the Campus Crime Statistics Act and the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security.

She also serves as a member of the Employee Recognition Committee and acts as the department’s representative for the State Employees Federated Appeal.

Enwright received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award during the December Commencement Ceremony which took place at SUNY Oswego.
