SUNY Oswego’s Small Business Development Center sponsors Oswego’s Got Talent to Celebrate Youth Artists, Performers

Oswego, NY – The Harborfest Children’s Committee is looking for youth performers to participate in Oswego’s Got Talent. Oswego’s Got Talent features a visual and literary art exhibition as well as a series of musical youth performances on July 28 at 2:15 p.m. in the Children’s Tent at Novelis Family Park.

The inaugural Oswego’s Got Talent is a community collaboration sponsored by SUNY Oswego’s Small Business Development Center, celebrating creativity, youth artists, diversity, and creating an awareness of Oswego County’s rich cultural resources.

The Children’s Committee believes the variety show will allow more children to be involved in the longstanding Harborfest tradition of celebrating art and performance.

To enter, youth groups and individual youth artists (visual, literary and performance) ages 8-15 years interested in participating must submit an application by July 12.

Visit the Children’s Events page on to access the online application.

There are no costs to enter.

However, youth artists or their sponsoring organization are responsible for supplying his/her own equipment, exhibit materials, transportation and anything necessary to complete his/her submission.

All mediums of visual and literary arts are encouraged and will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
