Tree Lighting Jubilee was truly joyous

Thanks to the collective efforts of many volunteers we have had another succeful Tree Lighting Jubilee.

I’m so proud of the staff that assisted in making this a hugh hit each December. None of this would happen without the dedication of the Tree Lighting Committee which is made up of a cross section of community leaders, City personnel, business partners, service clubs and civic organizations.

I would like to thank the Tree Lighting Committee whcih includes Roy and Debbie Clark, Karen Arnold, Tom Sawyer, Bob and Sandy Weston, Kathleen Knopp, Joann Cavalier, Kathy Yahner, Bill Lynch and Mary Jane Rivera. Several others stepped to the plate to volunteer during the event which included the Bard Jeffery family, Billy Griffin, Jeremiah Phillips and friends, Albert Kuntz, Ethel Canfield, Bob Ireland and company, Russ Hayden, Cathy Trowbridge and Mayor Ronald Woodward.

I would like to acknowledge the assistance from the Fulton Police and Traffic Department, City Hall Maintenance Department, Parks and Recreation Department, Fulton Consolidated School District and Buildings and Grounds staff, Oswego Industries, OCO Youth Services, Fulton Athletic Boosters and the Marine Corp Auxiliary.

None of this would be possilble without our wonderful sponsors including Entergy Corporation, Dunkin Donuts and Fulton Savings Bank. My biggest appreciation goes out to the Fulton Community for such a large turnout. You’ve been so supportive of this event making it one of the most special events we hold in the City. Thank you again and have a Happy Holiday Season.
