LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM THIS
AFTERNOON.
WHAT: Heavy lake effect snow occurring east of Lake Ontario.
Plan on difficult travel conditions, including the morning commute today.
Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected in the most persistent lake snows.
WHERE: The Eastern Lake Ontario Region.
The heaviest snow will be across the Tug Hill near the Jefferson and Oswego county line.
WHEN: Until 1 PM today.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Heavy lake effect snow will produce snowfall rates of 2 to 4 inches per hour this morning.
Travel through this intense band will be extremely difficult with near zero visibility.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands.
If traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.
