Oswego Music Hall of Fame Supports Local Musicians of All Ages

OSWEGO – The Oswego Music Hall Fame presents its 2025 Induction Ceremony at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 23 at the Oswego Elks Lodge, located at 132 W. Fifth St.

The event aims to honor talented individuals in the community, while also providing life-changing opportunities for young musicians. Tickets sales directly fund scholarships for local high school seniors, free music lessons at area music schools and essential resources like musical instruments for Oswego County children.

Tickets are $40 and include a buffet of ziti, meatballs, Italian bread, salad, coffee, and tea. A cash bar will be open during the event which includes live entertainment by some of this year’s inductees.

Tickets are only available for pre-sale and must be purchased by March 15. No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets can be purchased either by check or money order payable to Oswego Music Hall of Fame, Inc. to 94 Mariposa Dr., Oswego, NY 13126. Please include your name, the number of tickets you’re purchasing and if they are for general admission or the honoree section. Tickets can be picked up at the Oswego Players Box Office, Barbara Donahue Dr. in Oswego between 6 and 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 7 and 8, or from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 9. If you need to arrange an alternate pick-up, contact Nancy Spereno.

Some of this year’s inductees include soloist Mike Shiel and country band Dirt Road Ruckus, who will each be presented with an Entertainment Award, James J. Dillabough and Pat Hillman will both receive an Enrichment Award, and Joe Trionfero who will receive an Educator Award. Blues duo DamDog and the late singer/songwriter Barry McCaffrey, will each be awarded the Joseph P. Spereno Hall of Fame Award for their accomplishments. Barry’s brother Tom will accept on his behalf.

Friends and members of the Barry James Band and Frostbit Blue will play in Barry’s honor at the ceremony. DamDog, Mike Shiel and Dirt Road Ruckus will each perform a set as well.
