FULTON, NY – While the summer vacation may be in full swing, the United Way is already planning for the 2010 / 2011 school year.
Executive Director of the United Way of Greater Oswego County, Melanie Trexler has announced that the agency has officially kicked off its annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign and is currently collecting school supplies for children in need throughout Oswego County.
“We need to start now to ensure that children less fortunate are ready to begin the school this fall with the supplies they need to succeed. Ali McGrath will be coordinating our Stuff-A-Bus campaign this year and we are looking forward to another successful campaign,†said Trexler.
Collection boxes have been distributed to a number of stores and businesses throughout Oswego County.
Caring community members will be able to place their donations of school supplies in the boxes from now through Aug. 13.
