Vitamin L is a traveling group of young performers based in Ithaca that encourage positive character development through their uplifting and inspiring music.
They are directed by founder Jan Nigro, who was asked to write some songs by a teacher friend many years ago and from those songs Vitamin L was created.
The purpose, according to Nigro, is to spread love and goodwill through music, as well as positively influence as many children as possible.
Students at Lura M. Sharp were very familiar with the songs that the group performed through their music classes and sang along with the group during the performance.
They also learned sign language for other songs and enthusiastically performed them with the group.
