ELMIRA, NY – Elmira College held its 158th Commencement on June 2 at the First Arena, in Elmira.
Whitney Gayne of Mexico earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
Elmira College President Dr. Ronald Champagne presided at the Commencement Exercises, recognizing the graduates, their friends and family, college trustees and administrators, faculty and staff.
President Champagne awarded the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters to Susan Douglas ’72 and the Honorary Doctorate of Letters to Robert Gottlieb ’76.
Elmira College awarded three Associate degrees at this year’s Commencement. There are one hundred seventy-two graduates who earned Bachelor of Science degrees and ninety graduates who earned Bachelor of Arts degrees.
The college awarded twenty-seven students the Master of Science in Management degree. Fifty-five Master of Science in Education degrees were conferred at this year’s Commencement.
