Oswego Hospital Hosts MASH Camp

During Oswego Hospital’s recent two-day MASH Camp, students took part in several hands-on activities as they learned about careers in the healthcare field. Teaching the youths how to suture were staff members from the hospital’s surgery center. Wearing their own hospital scrubs, the 18 youths, who will soon enter the eighth and ninth grades, spent time in the hospital’s lab, pharmacy, medical imaging departments, among others.

County Will Not Spray for EEE

Oswego County will not spray to kill mosquitoes that carry Eastern Equine Encephalitis.

The decision was made, the county’s top health official says, after talking with state Health Department experts.  The state’s experts told the county that spraying now would not eliminate EEE.
