SCRIBA— The Scriba Fire Department was activated at 11:18PM on April 25th to a fire at 1982 County Route 1 where a single stall garage was found to be engulfed in flames.
This is the second time in 6 months that the Fire Department has been requested to this address for structure fire in the garage.
Additional support from Novelis Fire, Oswego City Fire, Oswego County Sheriff’s, Oswego County Fire Coordinators, and Oswego County 911 was provided. The mobile cascade unit was requested to support breathing air operations.
The fire was extinguished at 11:43PM. Due to the amount of possible ignition sources present in the structure it was difficult to determine a cause of the fire, but it was determined to be accidental for both fires.
