Nearly 40 children ages 4 and up received their own soccer T-shirt free of charge thanks to the generous donation of Uniforms Etc. owner John McGraw to wear to the clinics each week.

“Thank you to Mr. McGraw and Uniforms Etc. for donating all the shirts,” Chetney said. “It has helped all the kids feel like they are part of a team.”

The “Doing it Our Way” clinics allow all kids to enjoy the game of soccer without having to worry about skill, scoring, winning or losing.

This soccer session is a Girl Scout Silver Award project of Chetney’s.

Anyone interested in participating in the remaining sessions, contact the Parents of Special Children office at 598-7672.

If you are interested in helping with coaching or providing 1:1 help to a child on the field, please email Chetney at [email protected]
