On Wednesday night at Hannibal’s Board of Education meeting, the top 10 students in the senior class were recognized by the board.

“I’m pleased to be here this evening to recognize the students in the class of 2013,” said Jim Chupaila Hannibal’s interim principal, “who after four years of dedication and hard work are in the position of being in the top 10.”

The honored students are: Taylor Beckwith (Valedictorian), Adrienne Shortslef (Salutatorian), Brooke Wiggins, Megan O’Connor, Molly Downing, Christine King, Erica Weldin, Colleen Clary, Cal Weigand, and Samantha Familo.

The students who were present were each announced and received a round of applause.

“These are students have worked very hard throughout their entire careers at school, not just in high school,” said Chupaila. “I would also like to congratulate the families who support these kids along the way.”
