Reading Proficiency Displayed at Oswego Battle Of The Books

OSWEGO – Oswego City School District students displayed their reading proficiency at the district-wide Battle of the Books competition.

Teams from Fitzhugh Park, Kingsford Park, Frederick Leighton, Minetto and Charles E. Riley competed at the third and fourth grade level (primary) as well as the fifth and sixth grade level (intermediate).

Each round contained a series of 16 questions relating to books that the students read previously.

Secondary team winners Alaina DiBlasi and Audrey Donovan share their excitement.

Kingsford Park primary and intermediate teams proved victorious and will continue to represent OCSD at the Oswego County Battle of the Books that will be held March 12 at Sandy Creek High School.
