The following notice has been posted for Lake Ontario waters:
Remember the area around the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Facility is off limits to boating. The restricted area stretches 1,000 yards offshore and extends from the Alcan plant to the Sunset Bay area along Lake Ontario, east of the city of Oswego.

According to Larry Muroski of Larry’s Oswego Salmon Shop:
After having higher water for several days, the level has dropped to 3,880cfs as of this morning. This is a very fishable level with lots of fish to provide good angling action. Look for some nice chrome steelhead along with rainbows and browns. Driftboat anglers are working the waters for some nice catches. Suggested bait – trout beads, nightcrawlers, wax worms, egg sucking leaches, egg sacs, Glo-bug yarn, crazy eggs, pink worms and fathead minnows. Other tributaries doing well are Catfish Creek has some salmon, Mill St. in Hannibal has salmon and trout, and Nine Mile Creek has lots of trout.

Salmon River/Pulaski Area report:

Over the last couple of days the mornings have been really cold, but with plenty of sunshine the temperature has reached into the mid 50’s by the afternoon. With the mild and dry weather conditions, the fishing pressure has increased and anglers are taking advantage of the opportunity while it lasts. The upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville continues to get the most fishing pressure. Anglers having the most success in the mid to upper section of the river are doing so by getting on the water early and avoiding the high pressure areas. Stay moving, cover water and look for areas not being heavily fished.

According to the Douglaston Salmon Run:
The water is still low and clear. These conditions have made the fish a bit shy. We are not seeing a lot of new fish entering the river. However the estuary reportedly has a lot of fish staged and ready to come. We do have some overcast weather with some rain in the next few days.

Oneida Lake report:
Anglers have reported some nice nighttime walleye catches, however, the bite remains somewhat inconsistent.
The bite can be good one night but slow the next. Stickbaits, especially those resembling gizzard shad in blue/silver and black/silver are good choices of bait. Anglers are finding some yellow perch along the weedlines in 10-20 feet of water and smallmouth bass are active throughout the lake.

Sandy Pond report:
There is not much activity on the pond at this time.
