James E. Starks Jr., 58

James E. Starks Jr., 58; of Fulton died Friday at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Oswego, the son of the late James and Dorothy (Nettles) Starks, and he has been a resident of Fulton for over 20 years. Mr. Starks retired from the City of Oswego Municipality as a heavy equipment operator. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and was an active member of the Pathfinder Gun Club, and National Rifle Assoc. Mr. Starks also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years Charlene Starks of Fulton, three daughters Gina Recore Starks, April Starks, and Kara Starks all of Fulton, 3 sisters Joanne Starks of Oswego, Margaret “Peggy” Ezard of CO, Mary Waite of Oswego, 2 grandchildren: Nicole Starks, Christopher Recore and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday 7:00 p.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton with Pastor Mark Kimpland officiating. Burial will be private in Fairdale Cemetery. Calling hours will be conducted Sunday 4:00 – 7:00 prior to the services at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
