Christmas Music Concert Dec. 11
Dec 03, 2009 at 4:45 am
The West Baptist Church will host an evening of Christmas music on Friday, December 11th at 7pm. The concert will feature the church’s Handbell Choir in a program of several familiar Christmas carols as well as the vocal ensemble Praise 7 and the newly restored pipe organ.
The White Chapel Bells that the choir uses were purchased in the 1950’s by Ms. Lois Scriber the long time organist at West Baptist. The Choir has been active since that time performing at the church as well as at a variety of community events and regional bell choir conferences. Praise 7 is a vocal ensemble made up of members from different area churches that has performed in various churches throughout Central New York. The concert is free and open to the public with refreshments to follow. For more information please contact Abel Searor at (315) 598-8800.
