Stop smoking during the New Year with help from Oswego Health’s free smoking cessation program.
The first class will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 6 at The Manor at Seneca Hill. Similar classes will be held the first Wednesday of each month throughout the year. Those attending will have the information they need to help them stop smoking during a single class, however, community members are welcome to attend as many month sessions as they wish.
Teaching the class will be a certified smoking cessation instructor. Among the information covered will be how to recognize and address barriers, the components and importance of a quit plan, and available resources.
Registration for the class is encouraged and can be arranged by calling 349-5513.
The Oswego Healthcare system includes the Oswego Hospital, The Manor at Seneca Hill, a skilled nursing facility; Springside at Seneca Hill, a retirement living community; an urgent care center in Fulton, as well as health services centers in Mexico, Parish and now Phoenix.
