Several Schools Closed Thursday Due To Snow

Due to the inclement weather and the outlook for the up to a foot or more of snow in some areas: Schools are closed in Oswego, Fulton and Hannibal today (Feb. 25).
In Hannibal, the musical will be at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Also closed around the county are Central Square, Mexico, BOCES (including evening classes), Phoenix, and Pulaski.
UPDATE, 9:30 AM, from Cayuga County government: On behalf of the Cayuga County Legislative Chairman, Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, and the Cayuga County Emergency Management Office, be advised that a travel advisory is hereby issued for Cayuga County. If travel is necessary, please allow ample time to reach your destination and use extreme caution. Updates will be made throughout the day as necessary. Thank you.
UPDATE:Â Fulton is canceling tonight’s special Board of Education meeting to review its construction projects.

The Curse of the Silverback, the Enchanted Forest/Water Safari’s newest water ride, which debuted in 2009, is expected to continue to draw visitors with its unique purple and black appeal and daring silverback theme. Riders experience a 100 foot drop into a large 40-ft diameter bowl where they circle the bowl dropping out the middle into the splash pool below.
