Warm Up Oswego Heating Up The Region

OSWEGO, NY – Sled-pulling, costumed runners will be charging down the hill of West First Street for the Crazy Costume Sled Race on Saturday, only one of numerous events taking place during Warm Up Oswego.

The seventh annual Warm Up Oswego Festival will heat up today (Friday) at 6 p.m. with a Bonfire at the Y Armory on West First Street where Snow Sculpture contest winners will receive awards.

Downtown Oswego carries the torch with Wine, Chocolate & Cheese tastings, Mug O’Music at Taste the World at Canal Commons, and Art Openings at SUNY downtown and Lakeside Artisans.

The McCrobie Civic Center features the Great Bear Trio with Barn or Contra Dancing at 41 Lake St.

Warm Up Oswego began as a foil for Cabin Fever and a way to reconnect with neighbors and family during Oswego’s famous winters.

The event has routinely attracted hundreds of people from as far as Canada and Pennsylvania.
