Joseph J. Mancino

FULTON – Joseph J. Mancino, 86, of Fulton, NY passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024, with his loving wife of 39 years by his side.

Born in Syracuse, NY and was the son of Albert J. and Ann E. (Donadio) Mancino.

Joe was salutatorian of his class at North High, Syracuse.  He attended the University of Miami and played college football.

Joe previously owned Luigi’s Italian Village in Syracuse, but was famously known for his great steaks at the Seneca Motel/Fulton Ale House, of which he was proud of owning for 52 years.  He could be found dancing with his wife Patty across the floor, hosting dart and pool leagues or reminiscing and telling jokes with friends and family, while boasting about his Italian heritage and how dark he got in the summer.  Joe was past president of Oswego County Tavern Keepers Association and later owned and operated 481 Liquor and Wine.

Joe was an avid golfer, in many area leagues and tournaments in surrounding counties, and was very proud of his five holes in one.

More than anything, he adored his wife Patty and their love and closeness showed.  They loved traveling together, world wide, where he delighted in the cultures along with their associated foods and wines.

As an only child, Joe loved marrying into a large loving family and was especially delighted playing with all of the babies and children.  He doted on his dogs and treated them as his own. Joe was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish.

He leaves behind his loving devoted wife, Patricia (Colloca) Mancino, two children Bert (Krystyn) Mancino and Judith (Greg) Tupper, daughter-in-law Amy DiMetri, grandsons, Alex (Nicole) Mancino and Andrew (Carly) Mancino, and three great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his family: Anne Marie Hall of Maryland, Joseph Colloca of Oswego, John (Janet) Colloca of Long Island, Donald (Brigitte) Colloca of Ohio,  Janice (Paul) Snyder of Oswego, Julie (Richard) Burger of Oswego, Dr. Christopher (Mindy) Colloca of Fairhaven; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and even great, great nephews of which he loved very much.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10:30 from the Holy Trinity Parish, 309 Buffalo Street, Fulton, N.Y.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:30 at the church before the service.
