Fulton Officials See The Light, Look To Change Bulbs To Save Tax Dollars

<p>One of the city of Fulton's thousands of street lights.</p>Fulton city officials are hoping modern technology lets them cut the city’s utility bill.

Mayor Ron Woodward said the city is studying whether LED-style lights can be used in some of the city’s street lights. LED lights burn a lot less energy and would save the city money on its National Grid utility bill.

The Oswego Evangelical Alliance will bring a time of Community Christmas Caroling to be presented at the Oswego High School, on Sunday December 13, at 7 p.m. Oswego area church choirs and students from the OHS Music department will participate. The audience will be invited to join in the singing of familiar and favorite Christmas Carols.

Lee White Marine Museum, which is located at the end of Oswego’s West First Street Pier, is the place to be this month as they once again present “December Excitement.” Hours of operation are 1-5pm daily until the 23rd, and the Museum’s ‘Treasure Chest” gift shop is open to browse for free during those hours.

Oswego Health’s Lifeline Services now offers cordless phones that have additional improvements making the emergency communication devices easier to use.

Lifeline allows seniors and others with medical conditions to live more independently, knowing that medical help is just a phone call away. Subscribers wear a small, simple to use device that if need be can be used to summon medical help.
