At the recruitment night, taking place in the former Real Deals space in Oswego’s Midtown Plaza, attendees can learn more about how they can be part of roller derby in any number of skating or non-skating capacities, see an up-close demonstration of how the sport is played and ask questions about the sport.
Marion Evelyn (Manson) Chipman, 89, of Oswego, passed away Tuesday evening.
SUNY Oswego bestowed new awards for excellence in service April 15 in a campus ceremony. Dr. Marcia Burrell of the curriculum and instruction faculty accepted the President’s Award for Excellence in Faculty Service. Michelle Bandla, coordinator of first-year programs, received the President’s Award for Excellence in Professional Staff Service.
“The whole grounds, including most of the parking lot areas are like a lake,” said track promoter Harvey Fink. “I can’t remember the last time the speedway grounds have been this saturated with not enough time to dry out before Friday.”
Brandon Matthew Kenyon was born in Oswego Hospital on April 25, 2011.
