Beverly J. Johnson, 70, a resident of Co Rt. 7, Oswego, passed away May 21, 2011 at the Oswego Hospital.

Second Relaxation, Reflection and Writing Workshop Planned
That’s write. They’re doing it again. A cluster of writers has scheduled a workshop at Camp Hollis on the Lake Ontario’s shore in Oswego Town for June 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be hosted and facilitated by Mary Slimmer, Jim Farfaglia and June MacArthur, the guest writer. The trio presented a well-received writers’ workshop at the camp last fall which prompted them to conduct another this spring.
OCO Recognizes National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month
In recognition of May being National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month, Oswego County Opportunities health educator Janelle Hutchinson has teamed with other OCO Youth and Family Services Programs and the Rural After School Program to address the issue of teen pregnancy in Oswego County.

Mary “Ginny” Stamm told the members or the Oswego Sunrise Rotary about her life. When she and her husband, Dr. Alfred Stamm, moved to Oswego they had three foster children with special needs.

Chiropractors throughout Oswego County raised more than $1,500 in support of the United Way of Greater Oswego County during their Patient Appreciation Day fundraiser held May 20.
