Oz Roller Girls Host Doubleheader May 14
The Oz Roller Girls main team will host Watertown’s Black River Rollers in the headline bout at Oswego’s Crisafulli Rink. In the second match, the Oz league’s in-house teams, the Port City Sirens and the Nukes of Hazzard, will make their debut.

Ex-Hannibal Board President Claims Board Hid Money for Raises in Proposed Budget; Official: ‘Absolutely Not!’
The former President of Hannibal’s Board of Education claims that board members deliberately deceived taxpayers by claiming that no salary increases had been built into the proposed 2011-12 budget when money for raises had been hidden in other accounts.
District officials flatly denied the claim.

Student Directed Drama Club Plays At OHS This Weekend
This Friday and Saturday evening, May 13th and 14th at 7 p.m., the Oswego High School Drama Club will present two one-act plays directed by OHS Drama Club students. This production is special in that the adults acted only as advisors or mentors and the students themselves were responsible for all aspects of the production.
OMS Tree Planting For Arbor Day
A cooperative effort between the Oswego City School District and the City of Oswego resulted in the planting of several trees in celebration of Arbor Day.
Budget, Transportation Propositions Featured On WBUC TV Program
Two brief programs providing an overview of the Oswego City School District proposed budget and the bus proposition have been produced by Oswego High School television station WBUC. The programs will be broadcast over Channel 16 on Oswego Time Warner and will also be available on the district website www.oswego.org
County Sheriff’s Office Takes Part In Buckle-Up Program
Sheriff Reuel A. Todd has announced the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department’s participation in a nationwide crackdown on seatbelt violators between May 23 and June 5 during the nationwide campaign, “Click It or Ticket.”
