Fulton’s 25th CROP Hunger Walk

Fulton CROP Committee getting ready for 25th CROP Walk  L to R: Rosemary Occhino, Glenda Abbate, Lois Mirabito, Nancy Allen.This year on October 2nd Fulton is holding its 25th CROP Walk for Hunger. Monies raised in its first walk totaled over $6000 with 350 walkers. This year the goal is $10,000 and 150 walkers.

Dogs are involved in yet another aspect of helping and are appearing in classrooms across the country are “Reading Education Assistance Dogs.” Recently, Lucy, a literacy therapy dog, visited with students at the Fitzhugh Park Elementary School.

CENG Kicks-Off United Way Campaign

Members of the in-house campaign team at Constellation Energy Nuclear Group present United Way of Greater Oswego County with a check in support of the United Way’s Annual Campaign. From left are: Chairperson of the United Way Campaign Cabinet, Jonathon Daniels, Executive Director of the Port of Oswego Authority; United Way Board President, Wendy Tetro of Fulton Savings Bank; Chairperson of CENG’s in-house United Way campaign, Terry Syrell, Manager – Nuclear Safety and Security; Jill Lyon of CENG; Resource Development Director for the United Way of Greater Oswego County, Lois Luber; and Co-Chairperson of the United Way Campaign Cabinet, Rob Rolfe of Pathfinder Bank.

Constellation Energy Nuclear Group (CENG) got the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s 2011 / 2012 Annual Campaign off to a fast start as it presented the agency with a check in the amount of $1,500.

The State Senator met with St. Luke staff and the Board of Directors to discuss funding concerns for long term care and was given an overview of plans to develop an assisted living residence on the St. Luke healthcare campus.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Health and Human Services Committee presented a proclamation to Diane Zeller, program coordinator of Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County, designating September as Literacy Month.
