Step One Creative, an Oswego-based marketing communications firm, has announced that Megan Ryan, of Albany, New York, has joined the agency as a fall semester public relations intern, according to President Shane R. Stepien.

Students, kindergarten through fourth grade in the Oswego County schools will receive age-appropriate safety manuals, which will be handed out through Sheriff Todd’s Child Safety Program.
Despite the threat of inclement weather early in the morning, the day evolved into a perfect fall day as comfortable temperatures greeted the hundreds of fans who turned out for the New York State Field Band Conference competition in Oswego.

Children of all ages may participate in a variety of fall themed games and activities including: pumpkin bowling, pumpkin ring toss, a bounce house, and plenty of arts & crafts projects. Refreshments such as apple cider, donuts and popcorn will also be available.
Barry Thompson gets paid to speak at business conferences all over the country. Port City Toastmasters is hosting Barry at it meeting Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m. The public and Toastmasters are welcome to visit and hear how it is done with a pro.
