SUNY Oswego to Open 3 Exhibitions of Student, Faculty Artwork

"The Visitors" is one of SUNY Oswego master of arts candidate Cala Glatz's portfolio for exhibition as part of the requirements for her advanced degree in graphic design. The portfolio, titled "Where She Walks," was inspired by the onset of dementia in Glatz' grandmother. In all, three student and faculty exhibitions will run Dec. 2 to 14 in Tyler Art Gallery and in the student-run gallery in Room 201 of Tyler Hall.SUNY Oswego’s Tyler Art Gallery will open two new exhibitions on Friday, Dec. 2, and a third will open in a student-run gallery upstairs.

Rotarians Learn About OnPoint for College

Rotarian Carol Vescio introduced Ginny Donohue at a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting.   Ginny is the Executive Director and Founder of On Point For College.  Ginny spoke about the program that she started in 1999 that guides young men and women along the daunting road through college, including the application process, with mentoring,  one-on-one counseling, transportation, clothing grants, college supplies, text books and security deposits, workforce transition and on-campus visits to all NY state colleges every semester.  To date, 3,021 students have been assisted in entering into college.  More than seventy percent return for their sophomore year.    For more information about On Point or if you are interested in becoming a volunteer transporter or wish to provide financial support, please visit   www.onpointforcollege.org   or call 315-362-5003.To date, 3,021 students have been assisted in entering into college.
