Making Homemade Applesauce

Phoenix, NY - Miley Esposito and Lukas Harrison, Head Start preschoolers at Discovery Day Care, are using their fine motor skills to cut apples up in small pieces to make homemade applesauce for their class.  The children are learning to make themselves a healthy snack!  The children enjoyed tasting the homemade applesauce after it was cooked and cooled.  Head Start is taking applications.  If you have any questions about the program or would like to sign your child up for Head Start please call Education Services at OCO at 598-4711.  OCO, Inc. is a private, non-profit agency that has been supporting communities throughout Oswego County since 1966.  As OCO celebrates its 45th anniversary it continues to improve the quality of life in Oswego County by touching the lives of over 30,000 people each year.  A member agency of the United Way of Greater Oswego County member agency, OCO provides more than 50 vital services throughout 80 separate locations.  For information visit the website at www.oco.org. Playing Fire Fighter

Phoenix, NY – Phoenix Head Start preschooler, Sarah Johnson is dressed up as a fire fighter as part of October’s Fire Prevention Month.  She has rescued “Be Calm Bunny” as part of her dramatic play time.  Head Start is taking applications. Womens Club Hosts TV Anchor/Author, Donates Her Book to Local Schools

At a recent meeting of the Women's Club of Fulton Christie Casciano read excerpts from her book The Puck Hog.  Women's Club of Fulton is pleased to donate copies of Casciano's book to the libraries of the Fulton Elemenary Schools and the Fulton Junior High School.  Pictured accepting the donations are Bob Briggs (Lanigan), Donna Parkhurst (Fulton Junior High), Heather Perry (Granby), Paula Rohn (making the presentation on behalf of the Women's Club of Fulton), Jeff Hendrickson (Volney), and Jean Ciesla (Fairgrieve).Women’s Club of Fulton is pleased to donate copies of Casciano’s book to the libraries of the Fulton Elemenary Schools and the Fulton Junior High School.
