SUNY Oswego will host a top executive of New York Sea Grant Wednesday, Nov. 30, as she discusses women in the sciences at the college on Lake Ontario’s shore as part of the Science Today lecture series.
“Get paid to do what you love,” Rivera said to the students when she spoke about the media, fashion, and design programs offered at the nationally renowned institute.
“Erie Canal, Oswego Canal, and Lighthouses” brings together presenters Dan Ward, Director and Curator of the Erie Canal Museum in Syracuse, Ted Panayotoff, resident expert on lighthouses at the H. Lee White Marine Museum in Oswego, and Deborah Keppel Engelke of Time & Again Books & Tea in Oswego.

When workers at Fulton's Birds-Eye plant go home at the end of the day on the day before Thanksgiving next week, some will not come back after the holiday. And nearly everyone will be gone by Christmas.
Altmar-Parish-Williamstown’s (APW) Parish Elementary School (PES) held a very special Veterans’ Day program at the school to honor those men and women who have served in the Armed Forces.
This year’s Oswego County Historical Society’s Christmas Open House will be held at the Richardson-Bates House Museum, 135 E. Third St. in Oswego on Sunday, December 4 from 1 to 5 p.m.
The public portion of the meeting will reconvene at 7 p.m. as the “call to order” will be 6 p.m. However, the board will move immediately to executive session to discuss negotiations, litigation and personnel matters.
