The Manor Welcomes Channel 9’s “Operation Good Things”

The Manor at Seneca Hill welcomed Dave Longley, Channel 9’s Chief Meteorologist, who delivered gifts to the healthcare facility as a part of the station’s Operation Good Things program. Residents and program participants in The Manor’s Adult Day Health Services program were presented a gift, courtesy of the Syracuse television channel’s longtime holiday program. For the residents and Adult Day participants, Longley’s visit was extra special, as he is an Oswego native and some shared their memories of his family. 	Pictured with Longley is Doris Warner a resident of The Manor. 	The Manor at Seneca Hill offers skilled nursing, a complete rehabilitation program with physical, occupational and speech therapies and an Adult Day Health Services Program. The Manor at Seneca Hill welcomed Dave Longley, Channel 9’s Chief Meteorologist, who delivered gifts to the healthcare facility as a part of the station’s Operation Good Things program.

Oswego Hospital’s Pediatrics Dept. Receives Toys From IBEW Local 43

Members of the apprentice class of IBEW Local #43 recently visited Oswego Hospital to deliver toys to the pediatrics department. The class holds a toy drive each year as a class project. In the photo from the left are Matt Bellardini, of Oswego; Justin Gurney, of Oswego; Cullen Williams, of Sterling; Valerie Favata, Oswego Hospital Chief Nursing Officer; Steve Terpening, of Hannibal and Douglas Hillman, of Oswego.Members of the apprentice class of IBEW Local #43 recently visited Oswego Hospital to deliver toys to the pediatrics department.

Kingsford Spell-A-Thon Helps Get Toys For Kids In Need

Caitie Lilly, Cecile Laundre, Ashley Paterson, Shannon Law and Katie Fierro.Every year students from the Kingsford Park Elementary School conduct a Spell-a-thon where they receive pledges from family and friends. The proceeds benefit the holiday giving drive at the elementary school. Entire fourth grade classes go to Wal-Mart and shop for special gifts.

Superintendent of Schools Bill Crist reads to studentsFitzhugh Park second graders wore their pajamas, brought along their favorite stuffed animal and enjoyed “Cuddle Up and Read Day” on Friday (the final day before break).
Children, in Cari Joyce’s classroom,  spent the day listening to stories, but also focusing on reading and writing.
