My dog and cat are both due for their annual vaccinations and I was all set to make the appointment, but then another pet-loving friend just forwarded a link to a website about holistic health care for pets that said that vaccinations can cause all kinds of problems in our pets, including cancer.

The CNY Arts Center’s second annual Arts Fest, to be held June 9 at Fulton’s War Memorial Ice Rink, is expected to be even bigger and better than last year’s event. With more space to work with at the festival’s new location, The Arts Center is revamping the entire event and allowing room for even more vendors.
The event is free and open to the public. You may choose to participate in the organized 3-mile walk on Wilber Track, let the kids enjoy a variety of activities provided by local agencies, and learn more about Autism and resources available in Oswego County.
Volunteers simply want to share what they have with city children and introduce them to the joys of suburban or country life. Families find hosting so rewarding that more than 65 percent of all Fresh Air children are reinvited to visit the same host families year after year.
Commemorate the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 at the second annual Oswego County War of 1812 Symposium on March 31. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. at the American Foundry, 246 W. Seneca St.
