Mexico residents Robert and Bonnie Loforte  joined nearly 600 EF Foundation for Foreign Study International Exchange Coordinators for a fun-filled weekend in Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

Oswego County Opportunities, a vital resource to Oswego community since 1966, recently received a $1,000 donation from National Grid in support of the agency’s annual bowling tournament fundraiser, according to Diane Cooper-Currier, executive director at OCO.

Scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, the showcase will be free and open to the public. It will take place in the Comstock Ballroom of the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel and Conference Center, 801 University Ave.

Several maple producers will host tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 17 and 18, and the following weekend, March 24 and 25, for the New York State Maple Producers Weekends.

Michael Sgro has been appointed the new director of alumni and parent relations at SUNY Oswego. He will oversee the direction of all alumni programs and initiatives at Oswego, including reunions, regional events and student-alumni programs.

Executive Director of Oswego County Opportunities, Diane Cooper-Currier presented Stacie France, manager, WIC Support Services, and Heather Buckley, Lead LPN at OCO’s Fulton Health Center with longevity awards.
