Multipurpose rebirth for Romney to upgrade athletic opportunities

Once home to SUNY Oswego ice hockey, Romney Field House now will sport an artificial-turf field -- and state-of-the-art netting -- that will couple with a rubberized track to make Romney not only multipurpose for Oswego's Division III athletics teams, but offer various configurations for simultaneous practices. (Clough Harbor & Associates rendering)By next spring, renovations and equipment estimated at $2 million will breathe new athletic life into SUNY Oswego’s Golden Romney Field House, until six years ago home to Laker ice hockey and Commencement.

Oz Roller Girls To Battle In ‘Cinco De Mayhem’ May 5

The Oz Roller Girls will host the Albany All-Stars A Team on May 5 in a rematch of a high-scoring Oz victory from earlier this year. Titled “Cinco de Mayhem,” the bout will start at 6 p.m. in Oswego’s Crisafulli Rink. Doors open at 5 p.m.
