The Fulton Service Clubs (Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions and Rotary Sunrise) and the Fulton Veterans Council have completed the planning for the 31st Annual Memorial Day Salute to be held on May 25 and 26.
Amateur and professional photographers are invited to submit prints and
digital images in four contest categories: Bridges, Buildings and Locks;
For the Fun of It; On the Water; and the Nature of the Canal.
On May 29 at 6:30 p.m., the Fulton YMCA will be offering a “Wills Clinic” designed to answer questions the public might have about wills and end of life decisions from the point of view of an accountant, a lawyer and a financial advisor.
On Friday May 4, the Granby Elementary PTG hosted its annual Mother’s Day Social.
More than 175 mothers and daughters joined in for crafts and ice cream sundaes.
Oswego County held the County-wide Battle of the Books competition at Hannibal High School recently. Battle of the Books is a nationally recognized literacy program coordinated in Oswego County through the Oswego County BOCES School Library System.
Tuesday’s round of “yes” votes on school budgets was excellent news for Fulton’s Public Library.
In fact, people apparently felt so strongly about the library that the proposition to allow it to raise $170,000 from taxpayers passed by a larger margin than did the school budget and two other propositions on the ballot.
In addition to the usual motorcycle ride through the Oswego County countryside, there will be a one-mile bicycle or adaptive cycle ride through Fort Ontario.
