FULTON – Tensions flared during Tuesday night’s City Council meeting as residents once again voiced frustration over the council’s handling of the city budget. Concerns centered on ongoing contract negotiations with city employees, including the proposed increase to C.J. Smith’s annual salary, which drew sharp criticism from members of the public.
In response to the concerns, councilors voted to table agreements with the Director of Parks and Recreation, the Personnel Administrator, and the Commissioner of Public Works.
The meeting grew increasingly contentious during the public comment period. A long-standing disagreement between Councilor Iorio and resident Mrs. Rogers resurfaced, spilling into a public exchange over differing visions for how the city’s public parks should be managed.
The heated discussion underscored the growing divide between city leadership and residents, with budget priorities and park management continuing to be major points of contention.

Hi Fred, Is it possible to mic differently? Perhaps on each mic rather than general audio so it’s clearly understandable.
Bill,
I have no controll over the mic’s the council uses. It is very hard to catch certain people who may talk low or not close enough to the mics on the tables. However we continue to work at catching the audio better.
