The Oswego County Legislature has adopted a tobacco-free parks policy for county parks. The action was taken at the annual “Government Day” program of the Legislature with seventh grade students from around the county participating in the meeting.

The Oswego County Health Department launched its annual county-wide mosquito surveillance program in May. So far, test results from the New York State laboratory have all indicated that the Eastern equine encephalitis virus is not present in Oswego County.
For well over a decade, the St. Luke-Boyce Memorial Charity Golf event has been raising money to benefit resident programs at St. Luke Health Services and Bishop’s Commons Enriched Living Residence in Oswego, and Michaud Residential Health Services in Fulton.
