Assemblyman Will Barclay is once again challenging the children in the community to read for at least 15 minutes a day for 40 days throughout July and August as part of the New York State Assembly Summer reading challenge.
The following local residents graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in the spring 2012 quarter:
Army Reserve Pfc. Colin O. Joyce has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
The following area residents were named to the President’s List at SUNY Cortland for the Spring 2012 semester.
William “Bill” Frawley, 79, passed away Wednesday July 4, 2012.
The preliminary data indicates the unit experienced a Turbine trip, but the exact
cause has not yet been identified, according to Jill Lyon, CENG – Nine Mile Point
Nuclear Station spokesperson.
Harry Paul Haines Jr., 57, a resident of Waterview Road in the Town of Oswego, passed away Monday morning July 16, 2012, at Oswego Hospital.
