Broadway Bridge Shutdown Has Been an Annoyance, Not a Crisis, Officials Say
Police have written more tickets and the nightly shutdown of the Broadway bridge creates an hour-long traffic jam on the Oneida St. bridge, but as Fulton’s Police Chief says, the shutdown “hasn’t been the horror show we thought it might be.”

The annual Oswego “Pageant of Champions” usually brings thousands of marching band fanatics to town and when the first band steps off the line at 6 p.m. a full house is expected to be involved in every move and note.

Reminder to Residents: Use Certified Bulk Water Hauler
“With the hot dry summer we have had, some people are using bulk water to supplement their wells,” said Oswego County Public Health Director Jiancheng Huang. “This is water intended for human consumption and transported by tank trucks. Haulers must be certified by the New York State Department of Health to sell or deliver bulk water.”

Blessing Of The Animals Set At First United In Fulton
First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St., will host a “Blessing of the Animals” event on Sept. 23 beginning at 2 p.m. The gathering will be held in the church parking area. If weather is unfavorable, the Fellowship Hall will be used.

Laker Golfers Tie for Third
Kyle Brockmann (So., Fairport, N.Y.) and Dan North (Fr., Ilion, N.Y.) paced the Oswego State men’s golf team with matching rounds of 78 to help the Lakers tie for third place at the Oswego State Invitational on Monday with a score of 317.
