Andrew Litteer, a member of Boy Scout Troop 203, is working towards his for Eagle Scout Badge. He recently designed and installed with crew, a set of plank bridges at Great Bear Recreational Area. The bridges connect the historical Oswego River Canal Tow Path across a muddy section to an island area having a trail around its perimeter.

The Oswego County Department of Social Services will host an informational meeting from 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 13, at the Department’s Spring Street office, Mexico, for English and Spanish-speaking persons who are interested in becoming foster or adoptive parents.
