Thousands of Price Chopper Supermarket teammates, customers and trade partners throughout the regional chain’s six state footprint (NY, VT, CT,MA, NH, and PA) supported the company’s annual campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, raising $1,172,323 for local individuals living with neuromuscular diseases.

Volney Elementary School recently held a special recognition ceremony for students in the school to honor those students selected by their teachers for working hard to improve and modeling the school’s motto of “Do your best!”

Several students at Volney Elementary School were recently selected by their teacher as best exhibiting September’s character attribute of respect.

Breast Cancer Awareness month is under way and on the very first day of October the Oswego Middle School staff became actively involved in the effort. Visitors to OMS will see a bit of pink in many of the staff member’s hair in recognition of their involvement to increase awareness of the tragic results of breast cancer.

Now in its eighth year at SUNY Oswego, the project is part of an annual statewide community-service project by Student-Athlete Advisory Council chapters at all 11 SUNY Athletic Conference colleges.
