DSS Annual Children’s Christmas Project is a Heartwarming Community Effort

For almost three decades, employees at the Oswego County Department of Social Services have been helping families in need during the holiday season. The annual Children’s Christmas Fund has grown from a toy giveaway initially aimed at foster children to include more than 1,600 children in 600 families last Christmas.

Barbara Outman, 77, formerly of Phoenix, died on Thursday November 15, 2012, at Oswego Hospital after a brief illness.

Oswego State wrestling team lands in 13th position

The Oswego State wrestling team tallied 28.5 points to place 13th out of 19 teams at the New York State Collegiate Championships hosted by Cornell University on Saturday.
