Michael Gentilcore (Jr., Rochester, N.Y.) was crowned champion at 133 pounds to help the Oswego State wrestling team place fifth after the Lakers posted 98.5 points at the 29th Annual Ithaca Invitational on Saturday.
The shutdown was caused by a water level change in the reactor pressure vessel. The transient began with a control system failure associated with the Feedwater System. The plant responded according to design and automatically shut down with all safety systems responding appropriately.
The event, held Saturday at Wright’s Landing boat launch, attracted more than 100 “plungers” of all ages. Funds raised by the frosty fundraiser will benefit the Special Olympics.

On November 10, our organization will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a full day of activities capped by a free concert Saturday evening by locally renowned country band “Still kickin”. The day will begin early with our regular Saturday research hours from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. At 4 p.m., an anniversary reception will begin, followed by a 5 p.m. dinner.

Last week I asked: What city is called the Azalea City? It is Mobile, Alabama. Recently, John and I visited Mobile, a great city with a lot to see and experience. Located on the Mobile River it is one of the largest cities on the Gulf Coast plus the first capital of French Louisiana. Our hotel, The Battle House, was in an excellent location and very historic.
