The Oswego State softball team (2-6) posted a split on Monday after the Lakers defeated Bowdoin, 5-3, and a late rally came up short in a 4-2 loss to UW-Stout.

Cinderella’s Closet readies for the ball
Sandy Creek High School students, who have volunteered their time to become “fairy godmothers” for Cinderella’s Closet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 23 at the Make Sense Shop in Pulaski, were busy sorting through some of the dresses that will be distributed to area prom-goers.

Oswego School Super Joins Fight Against Childhood Cancer
Six children in the Oswego City School District are currently fighting some form of cancer. The superintendent will be one of dozens who have volunteered to have their heads shaved to help raise funds for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced Monday that Oswego State senior men’s basketball player Chad Hayden Ward was named to the 2012-13 NABC Division III All-East First Team.
