Alma Longley, 89, a resident of Oswego, passed away Tuesday March 26, 2013, at St. Luke’s Health Services.

Oswego Health Orthopedic Surgeon Shawn Mills visited Oswego’s Trinity Catholic School. Dr. Mills offered a presentation on bones that included his discussing the function of various bones and quizzing the students on their own knowledge. The fifth graders also got to examine several bone models.
As students are busy poring over the 2013-14 G. Ray Bodley High School Course Catalog for next year’s scheduling, they, and their parents should take particular note of the many dual enrollment offerings.
Oswego County BOCES held a spring dance at the Fulton War Memorial. Several school districts in Oswego County participated.
The Oswego County Board of Cooperative Educational Services was the recipient of the 2013 School Safety Excellence Award from the Utica National Insurance Group. For the seventh consecutive year OCB earned the highest merit of distinction in the program, the titanium with honors award.
