The CNY Arts Center, an organization located in Fulton which strives to engage people of all ages with all arts, has announced its volunteer recognition program. The program’s purpose is to acknowledge the many hours of work done by the people who make the center’s activities and events happen.

Eagle Beverage Raises More Than $2,300 For Local Fire Departments
Eagle Beverage is proud to announce the wrap up of its “Paint the Town Black” fundraiser. With the help of more than 40 taverns, restaurants, and convince stores they were able to raise more than $2,300 that will be donated to local fire departments in the area.
Perseverance Virtue of the Month Award at Fairgrieve Elementary
Fairgrieve Elementary School recently recognized students for their exemplary demonstration of the district’s monthly virtues. March’s virtue of the month was Perseverance.
OCB students receive Lincoln Technical Institute scholarships
Several SkillsUSA students at Oswego County BOCES’ Burton Ramer Technical Career Center were awarded scholarships to attend Lincoln Technical Institute/College of Technology by Andy Trugillo, a representative from the school.

Volney classes experience colonial life
Volney Elementary School fourth grade classes were treated to a special guest visitor recently. Linda Russell from the New York Council for the Humanities presented a special speaker in the schools presentation all about colonial life. The students are studying the colonial period as part of the fourth grade social studies curriculum.
Harriet ‘Arlene’ Neff – graveside services
Harriet “Arlene” Neff, 86, of Fulton, died Saturday February 9, 2013. A committal service and burial will be held 11 a.m. April 29 at Fairdale Cemetery with Pastor Jay Spaulding officiating.
C’s Beverage Center Veteran’s Stage ‘Battle of the Bands’
Plenty of additions are being brought to River Walk West in 2013, which has been a staple venue at Harborfest for more than two decades. C’s Beverage Center and Farm Market, located in Oswego, has been a longtime supporter of the festival and will welcome some of the best local and regional acts to the “Veterans Stage” again in 2013.
